What does “Crème Brûlée“ mean in French?
“Crème Brûlée“ literally translates to “burnt cream“. The name gets its origin from the particular way the dessert is made: sugar is sprinkled on top of the crème and then heated up to the point where it creates a thin layer of caramelized sugar. In order to reach the velvety cream underneath, you'll have to use the back of your spoon to break through the thin layer of candy-like shell.

Crème brûlée is my absolute favorite dessert but it’s not necessarily one of those that you can take home from a restaurant. So my wish has been granted that I now can have this at home thanks to Petite Pot 💕 it is just as delicious as it is in any restaurant I’ve had

Absolutely delicious! This is my new favorite packaged dessert. Plus the glass jar is 👍. Would love to buy reusable lids for these, but I think the ones you sell are only for the other size jars… correct?

I never go to the website to write a review, but this dessert was so good I absolutely had to! Such an enjoyable treat and I love that you can get that nice crunch on top from the broiler. Wowed by this dessert and will definitely purchase again. Also added some fresh picked blueberries and c’était délicieux!
